Meet Carlotta Coach
A lifetime in sport. A coaching method built around people.I am Carlotta — a multi-sport coach whose journey began as a child in fencing and sailing. Today I help people train with greater structure, confidence and purpose across fitness, fencing performance and postnatal return to exercise.
Sport was never just an activity
I began fencing and sailing at the age of seven. Even in my earliest school essays, I wrote that sport would remain part of my life — first as an athlete and later as a teacher and coach.
While I was still young, I started helping children take their first steps in sailing. Seeing someone move from uncertainty to independence showed me what coaching could mean long before it became my profession.
From athlete to coach
Different sports taught me different ways to understand movement, pressure, learning and performance. Together, they shaped the coach I became.
Fencing and competition
Fencing developed precision, decision-making, footwork and the ability to stay composed while everything is moving quickly.
Sailing and responsibility
Teaching young sailors showed me that real progress comes from clear guidance, patience and helping people become independent.
Fitness and boxing
Strength training and boxing deepened my understanding of physical preparation, resilience, controlled intensity and purposeful progression.
The plan should fit the person
Training should never be a random collection of exercises. It needs a clear reason, a practical structure and room to evolve as the person evolves.
- Your current ability and experience
- Your goals, sport and priorities
- Your available time and equipment
- Your movement, recovery and feedback
- A progression you can understand and follow
My role is not only to prescribe. It is to explain, observe, adjust and help you understand why the work matters.
High standards without losing the person
Across my career, I have coached athletes who achieved national and international victories. Those experiences taught me that the better an athlete becomes, the more carefully a coach must study, listen and adapt.
The same principle applies to every client. A beginner deserves the same attention to context, clarity and progression as an experienced competitor. The starting point changes; the standard of care does not.

My parents gave years of time and support to my training and competitions. Athletes, colleagues and mentors have also shaped the way I work and the standards I carry forward.
Among them was Giancarlo Speranza, president of my fencing club and a close friend. Almost ten years of conversations about athletes, competitions and the future of the club left a lasting influence on me, both professionally and personally.
Every achievement carries something of the people who helped us reach it.
